Lead with the product, not a vague category
Attach photos, dimensions, materials, weight, colors, and any reference ASIN or competitor link. Factories quote faster when they can see the SKU.
State quantity honestly
Even with no-MOQ programs, share your first-order quantity and 90-day forecast. That helps factories propose realistic unit cost and lead time.
Define packaging and labeling
Inner pack, outer carton, barcode, language on label, and drop-test expectations. Private-label artwork should be called out early.
Lock commercial terms in writing
Incoterms (FOB / CIF / DDP), payment method, sample policy, and inspection gates. Ambiguity here creates most China sourcing disputes.
